Are the Celtics Equipped to Take Down the Warriors?

For the past two seasons the Golden State Warriors have been the most dominant force in the NBA. After the 2016 season in which they blew a 3-1 series lead, the Warriors added Kevin Durant to an already historically great team. The Warriors have now added the best big man in the NBA in DeMarcus Cousins and will trot out five all stars next season. The Warriors are the favorite once again to win the championship this season, but if one team has the formula to dethrone them it is the Boston Celtics. The Celtics have improved each season since Brad Stevens took over as head coach in 2013. Not only do they have one of the best coaches and one of the smartest GM's in the NBA, but their team assimilation is phenomenal. With all- stars Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward coming back the Celtics should be better than ever. Irving and Hayward will be joining two of the best young wings in the NBA in Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown. The Celtics are also solid on the bench even more solid t...

Ranking The Top Three Teams with the Best Offseason

With the NBA off season being in full swing it is time to rank the teams who have made the best moves so far. Free agency is the time to improve your roster and it has been in full swing since July 1st. Some teams have made quiet but important moves while others just continue to flex their muscles. Lets take a look at the top three teams. 1. Golden State Warriors Key Additions: DeMarcus Cousins-C, Jonas Jerebko-F This rich just keep on getting richer here. The Warriors signed Cousins to a one year Tax payer mid-level exception deal this off season. Cousins is coming off an injury, but he is still considered one of the top 3 big men in the NBA. Cousins has everything you want in a big man. If he can come back healthy it will be impossible to compete with the already dominating Warriors, trotting out five all-stars. Jerebko also gives them insurance and solid shooting off the bench. The Warriors somehow find a way to make their monster roster even stronger. Will the NBA even be co...

Whats Next for The Cleveland Cavaliers?

It's over. It's finally over the biggest fish in the pond has made his decision. LeBron James will not be re-signing with the Cavs and will take his talents to Hollywood to play with the Los Angeles Lakers. The Cavs organization and Cavs fans will now have to endure another stint without LeBron James. The Cavs had to know that this was coming though right? The Cavs are now tasked with the burden of rebuilding without their best player in franchise history and to some the best player to ever play the sport of basketball. There are so many obstacles for the Cavs to over come. For starters they are capped out and can only make moves via trades and the tax payers mid level exception. Do they try and trade Kevin Love to dump some salary or keep him as the new building block? The Cavs did take a promising young player with the 8th pick in Collin Sexton out of Alabama. To me he was the second best point guard in this draft behind only Luka Doncic. Will Sexton and Love along ...

The Impact That This Summers Free Agent Class can Have on the NBA

The off season in the NBA can be one of the most wild and exciting times for sports fans. Big name players such as LeBron James and MVP Finals winner Kevin Durant have the power to change teams and conferences, potentially shifting the balance of power in the NBA. Fans anticipate this time of year hugely, perhaps even more than some playoff games. Not only are big name players free agents, but this years crop of restricted free agents is one of the best its been in years. This years class has impact players such as Marcus Smart. Clint Capela, Aaron Gordon and Julius Randle, just to name a few. These players have established great credibility and are looking to earn big pay days like the rest of the free agent class. Could a team like Indiana or Utah look at one of these players and feel they could build on the momentum last years playoff runs gave them and be serious contenders in 2019. Lottery teams like Brooklyn or Phoenix may try to get a big name to make there games more a...

Splash Bros 2.0

The Atlanta Hawks are the latest team that decided to build their team around the 3 point shot. That's how it seems after the Hawks drafted elite shooters Trae Young of Oklahoma and Kevin Huerter of Maryland. This duo draws similarities to two star players who currently play for the Warriors, Klay Thompson and Steph Curry. Call me crazy, but I wouldn't be surprised if they became the next set of Splash Brothers. Trae Young has been drawing comparisons to Steph Curry ever since the circus he put on at Oklahoma when he became the first player in NCAA history to lead the NCAA in assists and points per game. There's a reason Young has been compared to 2x MVP also the leader of the most recent dynasty in the NBA and that's because of his lethal shooting and unlimited range. Kevin Huerter. You may have never heard of of him until he got drafted by the Hawks with the 19th pick much like Thompson he comes from a school which is not known for their basketball. Hurter is com...

Would Chris Paul Really Consider Leaving Houston?

With Chris Paul becoming an unrestricted free agent, he's one of many stars that will hit the open market at midnight on July 1st. After finishing his first season in Houston after being dealt from the Los Angeles Clippers last summer, Paul could potentially be joining his fourth different team for his 14th season in the NBA. Paul has been vocal about his intentions to re-sign with the Rockets for another run at a title, however. In CP3's first season in H-Town, the Rockets took the defending champion Golden State Warriors to seven games in the Western Conference Finals before being outed after holding a 3-2 series lead. Some might argue that by now the Rockets could be hoisting their first Larry O'Brien trophy since 1995 had Paul not been injured in game five of the conference finals, causing him to miss the final two games of the series. The fact that Houston was one game away from The Finals would ideally be enough to convince the nine time all-star to stay put. ...

Best Landing Spots for Kawhi Leonard this Offseason

With Kawhi Leonard demanding a trade from the Spurs, teams around the league are scrambling to put together a trade package to acquire the All-Star, and former Finals MVP. The issue for most teams is whether they would be able to lure the superstar back for another year, as he has a player option after the 2018-19 season. Leonard’s option to leave his new team after only one season has put many teams off trying to acquire him, as they would have to give up serious pieces of their future in order to do so. However, there are still many teams willing to take the risk, realizing what a player like Kawhi could do for their team long-term should he choose to stay. Here are my top trade scenarios for The Claw. Los Angeles Lakers The Trade:  Spurs Get- Brandon Ingram, Kyle Kuzma, Luol Deng, and Moritz Wagner Lakers Get- Kawhi Leonard and Bryn Forbes Why it Works: Kawhi Leonard has named the Lakers as his top choice to where he wants to be traded so he would be more lik...
